2.   Understand the essentials of Road

2.1   Identify an activity which would demonstrate road safety skills

2.2   Share in the organisation of a road safety activity

3.   Recognise the importance of

      children being aware of safe

      places with regard to road safety

 

3.1   From a given list state what children need to know with regard to safe

       places e.g. names of different parts of the road

3.2  State where it is safe for a child to walk, stand or play

4.   Recognise that car parks merit

      special attention

 

4.1  Identify why a child needs to be aware of the dangers of a car park

5.   Recognise the importance of a

      child understanding the meaning

      of ‘stop’ in terms of road safety

 

5.1  Identify children’s knowledge of the word “stop”
