1.   Work as part of a group.  

1.1   When invited, make appropriate contributions to group discussions /

        activities.

 

2.   Recognise pulse and rhythm.  

2.1   Clap or tap at least 2 simple rhythms

 

3.   Create a musical instrument.  

3.1   Make a musical instrument using everyday materials (e.g. plastic

        bottle, yoghurt carton)

3.2   Decorate a musical instrument using everyday materials (e.g. foil,

        tissue paper)

 

4.   Recognise how a musical activity

      can develop language, literacy /

      Numeracy skills in children.

 

4.1   Share a musical activity with a child.

4.2   Identify at least 3 ways in which a musical activity can be used to

       support language, literacy and/or Numeracy skills for a child.

4.3   Identify a musical activity which could be used to support language,

       literacy and /or Numeracy skills for a child.
